Flatbush Kennels

Mastiffs and Petit Basset Griffon Vendeens
Welcome to Flatbush Kennels Home Page
Flatbush Kennels is home to Champion Mastiffs and PBGVs since 2000. We are dedicated to training and our breeding program focuses on health and correct puppies. This is a family hobby and includes all members in the day to day activities.

We purchased the first of Flatbush Kennel's dogs in 1990 when they found their first dog and Harlequin Great Dane named Stoney. Unfortunately, not a show-quality dog but a great family companion. Stoney was spoiled terribly. Even more unfortunate, Stoney passed away at a young age and Flatbush worked hard to find only the best dogs. We found Linda Cain, she has  turned out to be a true friend and mentor to our familyand is deeply loved and admired by the entire family. Soon there after, we found our first Harlequin Great Dane from Linda, from the Heart Kennel, Hearts Matters of the Heart, Maddie was a best friend to Mark and Sheryl and helped raise both of their children, Elizabeth and Mark Jr.  Maddie was the matriarch of Flatbush Kennels for 9 years. Lisa Cook, Sheryl's sister is also with us at Flatbush Kennels helping to raise happy healthy dogs.

Over the years, Flatbush Kennels rescued, trained, bred, and showed many different breeds. Great Danes, Mastiffs, Vizslas, German Short-haired Pointers, Beagles, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, German Shepherd Dogs, PBGVs, and Newfoundlands; some as residents and others as visitors.

Today Flatbush residents enjoy 14 acres in the country with occasional visits from deer, raccoon, opossum, turkey, and others. Nebraska offers us four seasons of fun. In the following pages you will see every one that lives at the Flatbush.  Follow the buttons to see all of our dogs and our accomplishments.
